Two jobs, two very different installs
Interior French doors — between a dining room and living room, or a home office and hallway. Pre-hung, no exterior weatherstripping, lighter swinging hardware. Usually done in 4–6 hours.
Patio French doors — back of the house, opening to a deck or stone patio. Weather-sealed, impact-rated glass on south-shore homes, mortise locks, often with screens. Takes a full day when we are cutting a new rough opening.
We install primarily Andersen 200 and 400 series French doors in pre-hung configurations. Custom sizing available in 2–3 weeks.
The single choice that changes everything
Most of our Nassau colonial clients go with divided-light panels (grid pattern, traditional look). Suffolk waterfront homes typically ask for full-view (clean modern glass, unobstructed view). Both use the same tempered insulated glass and Andersen's Perma-Shield fiberglass cladding — the style is cosmetic.
